Crosswell Seismic Imaging and Conventional Processes

The Vertical Information Gap
Conventional 3D surface seismic provides the information for discovery of many of the remaining reservoirs around the world, and generates a quality aerial view of the reservoir. However, this technology provides very little information about the vertical heterogeneity of the reservoir.
In addition, while such conventional processes as Well Logging, Core Sampling, and analysis of production data do generate vertical heterogeneity information, they are limited in scope to within a few inches of the well.
Based on its ability to generate up to 3 feet of vertical resolution, Crosswell Seismic Imaging can deliver critical, detailed information concerning the vertical heterogeneity between wells. This adds significantly to the overall understanding of the reservoir.
