EOR
A Better Understanding of Reservoir Structure and Flow Characteristics
Croswell Imaging technology delivers unmatched high-resolution reservoir information, providing for a detailed understanding of geology and mapping of fluid fronts and reservoir changes; in-depth information that provides for optimized EOR operations and exploitation of each reservoir's unique characteristics. Proven in hundreds of EOR applications, this advanced reservoir imaging system offers a number of advantages:
- A significantly greater understanding of the reservoir prior to EOR operations, allowing for the development of a program based on the unique characteristics of that reservoir
- The ability to view the process over time, enabling a better understanding of flow within the reservoir
- Reassurance that costly EOR fluids are used more efficiently; reducing the overall costs of EOR activities
Z-Seis’ Crosswell Imaging can provide the detail to both design an ideal system unique to each reservoir and to monitor the real-time effects of ongoing EOR activities on a time lapse basis. Based on the information generated by Crosswell Imaging, the operator can accurately assess and troubleshoot EOR processes like CO2 or miscible floods, all with heretofore unmatched reservoir detail.
Crosswell Imaging’s high-resolution imaging coupled with seismic data referenced in depth, not time, allows easy computation of difference between repeat surveys. In fact, this technology will allow for resolution of velocity changes as small as 1% to 2%, creating a detailed pattern of the flow within a reservoir.
