Crosswell Seismic Imaging has been proven to significantly improve coal bed methane operations. Its high-resolution output is often employed at the outset to better understand seam continuity and quality before committing to a drilling program. This same information is then being used to more precisely identify the continuity and thickness of coal seams. Logs generated through Crosswell Seismic Imaging also assist drilling efforts by more accurately identifying the position of seams, with more detail than is possible with any other process.
Crosswell Seismic Imaging has also been particularly beneficial in well placement in multilateral horizontal well trajectory applications, adding a significant element of detail to the process.
