For over ten years, Schlumberger DeepLook - CS Crosswell Seismic Imaging technology has been employed in accurately identifying bypassed oil in existing fields. This technology fills the information gap between 3-D surface seismic, VSP well logs, and production history, providing the most complete characterization of interwell geology possible. This proven technology is distinguished from other seismic processes by:
- Using direct imaging of the reservoir, instead of statistical estimates, to better determine its structural characteristics
- Reducing drilling costs by allowing for more accurate identification of interwell pay zones
